A.D. Laws Triticum Wheat Cask Strength

Laws Triticum Straight Wheat Whiskey Cask Strength

Laws Triticum Cask Strength

Laws Whiskey has not disappointed us with anything we have tried, and the Triticum continued that trend with a delicious cask strength wheat whiskey.

127 Proof/63.5% ABV

Color: A dark brown, clear pour.

Nose: Sweet notes full of honey, heavy wheat smells as you would expect. There are also some spices, and lots of wood, smelling almost like the inside of a guitar shop. Extremely inviting

Palate: Sharp right up on the front that tingles the tongue, some heat off the start and you can definitely tell it’s a cask strength. The sip has sweet and honey flavors, that move into wheat flavors, full of baking spices, nutmeg, and straw.

W/Water

Nose: Cloves and nutmeg come through on the nose after a couple drops of water are added, the sweet honey smells are still there, and that nice wood smell remains as well.

Palate: The Alcohol tingle is almost completely gone, and the front is a lot more sweet. The mid palate is full of wheat and baking spices that move onto the finish. The end is sweet, full of baking spice, clove, nutmeg, and honey. It can be described as harvest time in the fall, and it is very delicious and easy to drink.

This bottle was a delicious release from the Laws Distillery, once again they knocked it out of the park. If you get a chance to try this, we definitely recommend it.
