2019 Colorado Distillery Bracket

We are going to have a Colorado Distillery Bracket! Voting will be through Social Media (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter) and will start on Monday, March 11th 2019. We will update with images below as each match up is won, all the way up to the final! Be sure to vote and check back here for updates on who is winning!

March 15th Update:

The Bourbon quarter is down to the last 2, with Mystic Mountain and MashBuild each moving onto the second round! They will face off soon to move into the semi finals! Today marks the start of the Rye quarter, where the first match is Distillery 291 Colorado Rye against Laws Whiskey Secale straight rye. Then the Snitching Lady Distillery Rye will take on the Bear Creek Rye Whiskey.

March 19th Update:

The Rye Quarter first round is complete with the Distillery 291 Colorado Rye and Bear Creek Rye Whiskey moving onto the second round! Distillery 291 won in a close race, while Bear Creek won in a landslide.

Next we start the “Whiskey” quarter, with whiskeys that are not rye or bourbon will compete. Today starts the Whiskey quarter with Stranahans Colorado Whiskey taking on Elkins Colorado Whiskey. Next up will be Deerhammer Single Malt vs the Spirit Hound Single Malt. Check back for updates!

March 24th Update:

With the Whiskey Quadrant’s 1st round complete, we will have the Elkins’ Colorado Whisky moving onto round two to take on the Deerhammer Downtime Single Malt Whiskey.

Next up is the “Other” quadrant, featuring Leopold Brother’s New York Apple Whiskey vs. 10th Mountain Alpenglow Liqueur and then the Woody Creek Gin vs. Boulder Distilling Ginsky.

March 27th Update:

The Other quadrant has wrapped up, and now we are geared up to start the second round of voting! Leopold Brothers and Woody Creek each move onto the next round, and will face off to head to the semi-finals. Voting for the next round will start on Thursday, March 28th!

Round 2:

Update April 3rd, 2019:


After two very close matches, the Mystic Mountain Outlaw Legend and the Bear Creek Rye Whiskey will move onto the semi-finals! Bear Creek snuck out a victory by just 1 vote, and Mashbuild managed to put up a big fight, but ultimately Mystic Mountain moved ahead. These two will face off in voting starting in the middle of next week, around April 10th. For now, the next two matchups in the Quarter Finals are under way, starting with Elkins against Deerhammer!

Update 04-10-2019: Semi-Finals!

We are into the last 4 distilleries, down to the semi-finals to see who is the community chosen champion of the Colorado Distilleries! Two big time vote getters are squaring off as Mystic Mountain’s Outlaw Legend vs Bear Creek’s Rye Whiskey is currently underway. Once that matchup is finished, Elkin’s Colorado Whisky will take on Woody Creek’s Gin.

After these next two match up, the Final match will begin. That match will start on April 16th, and run through April 21st. The winner will be announced on the morning of April 22nd.

After adding up almost 1000 votes between our 3 social media platforms, Elkin’s Colorado Whisky is the 2019 Mile High Bourbon and Rye Bracket champion. Shout out to everyone who was a part of the bracket, who voted, shared, and commented, and a shout out to all the distilleries in the bracket.
